London Independent Filmfest to screen Iran ‘The Servant’

Iranian animation ‘The Servant’ is to vie at the 14th London Independent Film Festival.

Directed by Farnoush Abedi, the animation tells the tale of a giant cockroach who gets tired of his servitude to man.

The short animated piece is currently attending the 27th Cinequest Film Festival in the US.

‘The Servant’ has previously won the Best Animation award at the 33rd Tehran International Short Film Festival held on 8-14 November 2016 in Tehran.

LIFF is committed to the independent filmmaker. The organizers give special attention to the screening of films by first and second time directors, films shot with budgets under $150,000 US and quality films that - for whatever reason - are unlikely to receive distribution through other channels.

Shortwave Cinema will be the main host of the 2017 London Independent Film Festival.
